All Brown Davis fuel tanks incorporate several unique and important engineering design features combining to deliver a superior product. Through years of research and development and stringent testing, Brown Davis has been able to raise the bar in Long Range and Auxiliary Fuel Tank design and manufacture.

Auxiliary Tanks: Are designed to be installed in addition to the original factory fuel tank, coupled with its own fuel gauge. An electrical changeover system simultaneously changes the source of fuel from the original (main) tank to the auxiliary tank (or vice versa), whilst the vehicles fuel gauge is simultaneously changed over to indicate the level in the tank from which the fuel is being drawn. Furthermore, some auxiliary set ups utilise a separate fuel transfer pump, and by the flick of a switch can transfer fuel from the auxiliary tank into the main tank. The method of utilisation based on both of the above descriptions varies depending on the vehicle model and the type of factory fuel delivery.

The Discovery 3 auxillary fuel tank holds 120 litres and is designed to be fitted to the rear of the vehicle in place of the spare tyre, you will need to relocate the spare tyre. The tank is designed to use the standard filler location without having to modify your exhaust system. It will not compromise your departure angle.
